The Debbané Palace Museum
In 1999, Debbané Family decided to turn the Palace into a Museum. To preserve the landmark, a specialised committee was created, made of 4 members, each representing a branch of the family, in addition to the General Heritage Director and the president of Saida’s Municipality.
The value and impact of a museum on a visitor is not restricted to “lessons learned” on the spot. A museum visit lasts well beyond the actual time spent within its walls; it endures for as long as the visitor remembers and relives the experience in different contexts and different circumstances.
The home of the Debbané family incorporates all the elements of the Arab-Ottoman dar of this period, its layout and décor drawing were inspired by monumental religious architecture, madrasa and mosques.
Collection of Musical Instruments
The museum displays many musical instruments, such as Rabab, and unique furniture, brass pieces, glass vases and chandeliers.

François Debbané Library
The library contains 2,500 books whose topics include Economy, Law and History.
